It will help us understand the best approach to physiotherapy after surgery to repair tears of the tendons of the shoulder
Study participants are randomly allocated to either receive standard rehabilitation (4 weeks in a sling) or individualised early patient-directed rehabilitation.
The study is taking place in hospitals across the UK and will recruit 638 participants.
It opened to recruitment in June 2023 and will be open for 24 months.
